Boys Varsity Nordic Skiing · Boys Nordic Places 2nd at STATE!

We had an epic conclusion to the Season with some really hard racing yesterday at the State Meet, in some really tough conditions and finishing in one of the closest team finishes in recent MN State Meet memory.

All of our skiers met the challenge and raced really hard, leaving everything out on the (really cold and frozen!!) snow – so please give a shout to our state meet skiers who have worked really hard throughout the season and have excelled:

  1. Charlie Grabow
  2. Cooper Camp
  3. Jack Wenz.
  4. Jacob Rochell-Share
  5. Katy Scott
  6. Owen Lindseth
  7. Stas Bednarski
  8. Sudie Hall
  9. Victor Sparks
  10. Zoe Camp

Here’s the standout result of the day – , the Boys Team again proved they are never to be taken lightly, and came within a bare whisper of the top of the podium. After a day of racing they TIED for first with the powerhouse team at Forest Lake who were the No. 1 ranked team all season long.  But we lost the tie-breaker by 7.6 seconds and took the Team 2nd Place.  It’s hard to overstate how dominant our battle was with Forest Lake – the third place team finished 44 points back.  In other words, not even in the same zip code in the final team standings.

So an extra big high five to our boys team of Jacob, Victor, Charlie, Stas, Cooper, Owen and Jack for really laying it out on the line yesterday.

And an extra, extra shoutout to 5 of our boys who earned the All-State honors, finishing in the top 25:

Jacob – 13

Victor – 14

Charlie – 16

Stas – 19

Cooper – 22
